Default P0302

Okay so ive had this code come up before. I changed out the spark plugs, n sure enough cylinder two spark plug was fouled n a pieace was actually broken off the spark plug. Changed it out, fixed the problem.

However the code came up again about a couple weeks later. Im hopin it is jus the wire.. I am not do.e testing yet.

I do hear a noise comin frm cylinder 2 AREA,hopin its not a bad valve..

Not sure if its safe to drive at the moment.. Anything helps

Thanks

Cylinder #2 is misfiring, could be ignition, fuel delivery, or mechanical problem. Depending on the engine there are different things to look at. It will help a lot knowing what engine you have in the car. (model year, V6, V8, LT1, LS)

98 V6 3.8l engine. Im trying to figure out the firing order.. See if it even has spark.. As far as fuel i will get a tool to figure if the injector is wrking or not.

But my question, if it is mechanical, say i stuck vslve, how to test further.

How big was the peice? It sounds like you make have damaged some valves by having foreign material in there.

Good news, scanned it and shows only history codes of a misfire.
runinng smooth.. Goin to swap the plug wires n see if that was just the issue..

Did change out the spark plugs earlier, but not the wires.. Goin to do that nxt

Wondering if coil packs on these models go out often
