i bought a set of headers. wasnting thining about gas mileage improveing, but it did. Only a mile per gallon or so, but when your only getting low teens for the mile, its a big improvement. Ive got a 350, city im guessing around 13 or 14 miles, highway, mid 20's. But ive got a 5 speed so i can decide when i want to change gears, plus that fifth gear helps me out at highway speeds when it comes to gas.

 

my 5 speed tbi gets around 13 but mid 20's on the highway cuz of the 5th gear.

 

with my foot on it, i get two gallons to the mile. be happy. Sick

 

i get 22 mpg with my 305. its 100% stock other than flowmaster exhaust.

 

Wow... I had never realized that the numbers were that good.. It was defenitely a nice surprise when it only took me 14 bucks to get from Virginia Beach to DC... I have a 305 by the way.

 

**** my stuff is ****ed i removed the smog pump because it broke and i didn't feel like spending $60 on a new one or whatever the guy told me i much rather spend $6 bucks and bypass the pully. my dad's a machanic too so he said it wouldn't hurt to remove it. are there any segestions on what to buy to improve my mpg?

 

headers do improve a little. but other than that, a smaller engine, or a lighter foot is about all you got goin for ya.
