Get a real motor for one. What have you done to it already?

Ok, I missed the other half of the post. Yoc can get a K&N filter, good plugs, good ignition, Headers and exhaust. But be real, that will make the car a little faster. You have a V8 Camaro, The best way for better MPG is a lighter foot. Anything you do to help the gas will only help your foot need more throtle.

I still get 13-15 mpg and I've got a dyno'd 400 horse TPI. Seems low mileage for a 305 but yea, if you gotta lead foot, it'll be worse obviously. Also, if the motor is old and running rich or has high miles, it may burn extra stuff like oil and fuel because it is less efficient than it used to be with the wear,carbon/oil build up etc. inside....

One suggestion would be to stop removing[sm=chattypair.gif] parts that you don't know what there functions are.
