LT1 Swap

LT1 Swap
Hey guys, I'm looking at putting a 350 LT1 in my 92 RS. The one I found is a 93. The guy didn't say if it came from a Z or a Vette, but he's selling engine compete with Corvette fuel rails, injectors and heads. I'm gonna ask about eletrical stuff. But i'm wondering if this is a good year for an LT1 and how much trouble/replacement I'll have to go through to put it in the car. Obviously I'm replacing the stock rear-end differential, and I've heard the rear-end itself isn't exactly strong. But should I go with this year or is there a specific year that would be better? The other thing I'm looking at is a 350 out of a 98-00 Trans Am, but I haven't found one yet.

RE: LT1 Swap
Well i think u should go with something other than an lt1. lt1 can get complicated due to so many differences between them and conventional 350s. I think u should build up an older 350 with carburation and not worry about the electronics. And 98-00 trans ams didnt come out with 350s, they came with ls1s which arent nearly 350 cid.

RE: LT1 Swap
I've seen a camaro where they put an LS1 in the thing. I thought Trans Ams that year came with a 350? Idk, I'd much rather have fuel injection if possible. And what 350 do you suggest? I've found a ZZ4 and an HO 350.
