it flew up today
so now i need to drive without a hood until i can get to a wrecking yard. unfortunately thats going to be a while since the closest one is fifty miles away and there are a few things i need to grab so i cant just take the maro. ill have to borrow either a friend's car or one of my parents car

You can get a ticket for driving around without a hood... How did it fly up, was it not properly latched?
Not every town will give a ticket for driving without a hood. Thats a local law, not federal.
My Harwood had done over 100mph a few times and stayed on with no pins. It was the accident that made the skin pop off!

it was just a weak design. it was a homemade hood and was extremely flimsy and it didnt line up right. my guess is just that though. it didnt latch right. as a temporary solution im going to do hood pins on all four corners and then eventually when i get to the junkyard to get the fender and door i need ill just grap a stock steel hood like i wanted in the first place. then i found a website that sells steel cowl induction hoods and thats what i will get. i dont like fiberglass. yeah its light but in my opinion its too flimsy. and i dont like the look of hoodpins so yeah.
