I have sentimental value for my car though. I love my Camaro its my first. And we share memories together already. Its me and my Camaro against the world haha how many miles before it dies? Its at 202 but runs like a champ!

202k miles and you are considering performance mods? Headers and a downpipe......K&N Airfilter....honestly, you arent listening. You are looking at spending at least 4-600 dollars for a gain you wont even be able to feel. Look, I know you think a 10% gain will be some the extra 'oomph' you want, but you wont even know you did it. That V6 just isnt made to do what you want it to do. Also, have you looked into whats involved in installing headers and a pipe? Its not a small task. Oh.....you have 202K miles.....that engine is in need of rings and a valve job soon.

Sorry to sound like a pessimist here, we are just trying to keep you from spending hundreds of dollars on a fruitless venture.

there's an old saying

"if you don't like the answer you're getting, keep asking the question"

But, in this case, you keep asking and keep getting the same answer.

With respect to performance, your car can't be made to go with what you have. Unless of course you want to spend crazy money just for grins and giggles but it would be a waste of money.

So, the choice is now yours. You can listen to the voices of experience or not.

Oh, and there is a reason it's called your "first car" . I myself have purchased 4 vehicles in the past 2 years so maybe it's time to think about your "next car"

It's kinda like your first Girlfriend, you have memories with her but you move on, BUT you can keep your FIRST car and get another one to fix up and make FAST and the FIRST one won't get JELOUS

you could keep the v6 as a dd and just build another one. then if one breaks, you can borrow parts off the other

You guys have good points, and are looking out for my best interest and for that I respect all of you. I'm just going to stop trying to get performance that is out my reach and just fix up her looks and keep her running smooth wit maintenance. Then later I'll buy one for performance. I just love my car and want to keep her running smooth. I'm 18 and want to say when I'm thirty this is my first Camaro rather than that was my first car if you know what I'm saying.
