Help, Small block accessory brackets.
So, im midway through rebuilding my 305 (yes, i know) in my 92 RS,
and i can't find that right bit to take off these brackets. I tried allen wrenches, no, a size 40 Torx bit,to small, a size 45, to big
i've hit a wall. Help? These things need to come off so i can move on with my build, btw, somebody did some work on her in the past and torqued the bolts down WAYYY to tight, which is also a problem

I had the same issue when changing the alternator on my 91 RS 305 (yes I know)!
I used a sharp cold chisel and a couple of good off-center whacks on the bolt head to loosen them. (be sure to strike it on the left half of the head to loosen) Then I replaced them with regular hex head bolts.

yeah cool, your the man, but... i had one of the bits, and it fit, and it got out one of the bolts, but when i went to get out another, it was tight as hell. The torque wrench needle was well past 70ftlbs, and the tip of the bit sheared off
