YES, THE AUTO IS A 4 SPD. THATS WHAT MINE HAD IN IT WHEN I GOT IT. IT JUST DEPENDS ON WHAT YOUVE GOT DONE TO THE CAR, AND HOW YOU DRIVE IT. CAUSE IVE SEEN QUITE A FEW AUTOS TEAR UP STANDARDS. IF YOU HAVE A STALL CONV. ON AN AUTO, AND UVE GOT THE HP, YOU CAN DO SOME DAMAGE ON A STANDARD ANYDAY.

If you are looking for a starting price, go on the web and search for kelly blue book http://www.cars.com/go/kbb/kbbInput.jsp and you will get a good idea of prices in your area.

As far as transmissions go, a properly set up automatic with a loose converter will usually take a manual off the line, all other things being equal. However; at higher speeds the automatic will soak up more power, and probably have a slower trap speed. If you got power to spare either one will be good. It all depends who has the best traction. If you are not familiar with a manual it will take a bit of practice to launch the car properly for best ET.
