Headlights Issues
I have a 1983 camaro Z-28 and my headlights work weird. The bottom 2 High beams are the only lights that work on LOW and all my lights work on HIGH. I unplugged the 2 middle High beams so it will look alright. I checked the fuses and replaced all the lights and it stilll does it. Has anybody had this issue with their camaro? Or does anybody know how to fix it? Thanks!

I have 6 lights. The 4 on top which 2 are side by side and 2 on the bottom where the licence plate is in the middle. Those bottom 2 only work on LOW and all 6 work on HIGH! The problem is my low beams doesnt come on when I turn it on LOW and all my lights come on on high. It just doesnt seem that it should work like that.

So are you saying that only your driving lights(?) work when you have them on low, but when you put them on high. all the lights work? Do third gens have driving lights? I'm sorry I don't know, im just trying to make it simpler so somebody can help you.
EDIT: oh you mean the fog lights. never mind about the driving lights. Wait, did 83 z28s come with foglights? I searched pictures and I didn't find any with them. I don't know how to help.

Yea thats right, my fog lights come on LOW and all lights come on HIGH. Im not sure if all 83 z28 have fog lights but mine does. If thats how its suppose to be then l'll have to deal with it or rewire it. Thanks for everyones help.

ah, well then thats not normal. the fog lights should turn off with the high beams. whoever added them really jacked up the wiring. pick up a chiltons or haynes manual to get a wiring schematic and have some fun
