Well I just ordered a new set of injectors for $320 from rock auto. I really hope it helps. Also, I don't know if I mentioned it in this thread, but I was hearing some valvetrain knocks. Turns out someone installed the drivers side valve cover on backwards. All 8 rockers were hitting the cover. Hard enough to dent it. I never realized chevy used directional valve covers.. Anyway the knock is all gone now. Just hope the injectors take care of my terrible miss.

So now I really don't know what motor I have. If I post block casting numbers could someone let me know what it is? Would be a nice surprise if its a 350.[/QUOTE]

When you get the casting numbers go Mortec.com and check the numbers yourself. Only way to learn.

Thank you. I wasn't sure of where to look them up.

Well I'm not sure what to try next, or if to try. I installed the new injectors and they made absolutely no difference. Which is really strange since the old injectors looked terrible. One was even cracked in 2 spots. While i had it apart I seen the EGR was froze up so I fab'd a block off plate and ditched it. I also took the FPR apart to inspect it, it looked healthy. Anyway it still has a miss. Tons of power, but a pretty strong miss mostly in the 2500-3500 rpm range. I'm looking for some good advise with this. Is there a sensor that would cause this? Because at the moment I am thinking burnt/bent valve. To recap what I have done...

Plugs, wires, cap, and rotor (plugs were shot)
Timing chain (was very loose)
Harmonic balancer (had bad wobble)
Valve cover gaskets (was leaking on the plugs)
Adjust valve lash (didn't really need)
8 New injectors

None of these things have made any difference in the miss.
