GOODBYE 305... HELLO 400!
BEEN A WHILE SINCE IVE BEEN HERE BUT HERE IS A QUICK REFRESHER. 86 CAMARO Z28 5 SPEED WITH A 305. NEVER RAN QUITE RIGHT FROM WORD GO SO IT BECAME THE NEW FUTURE RACE CAR. GUTTED IT DID SOME RE WIRING GOT RID OF ALL THE UNECESARY ACCESSORIES AND PUT IN A BIGGER CAM AND BETTER HEADS AND INTAKE AND CARB AND EXHAUGHST SP? ANY WAY. RAN BETTER BUT NOT RIGHT KEPT ACTING LIKE TIMING WAS OFF AND WAS CRAP. WELL I GOT A BAD CAM THROUGH SUMMIT FORM COMP CAMS. INSTEAD OF REPLACING OR FIXING I SAID **** IT AND BULL****TTED A WHILE AND OPENING DAY AT THE TRACK IS NEXT SATURDAY. WELL THIS EVENING I AM GOING TO PICK UP MY NEW 400 LONG BLOCK AND SAY GOODBYE TO THAT SORRY EXCUSE FOR AMERICAN MUSCLE 305. MOVIN ON DOWN... ON DOWN TO LOWER E.T.'S!!! P.S. OH AND BY THE WAY I WILL HAV IT IN AND AT THE TRACK SATURDAY MORNIN AT THE INFAMOUS MIR. BE THERE AS THEY SAY ON THE COMMERCIALS FOR THE TRACK. LOL. LATER.

I think your going love it that's for sure, I am in the process of collecting the last few pieces for my 400 transplant into my 82 Z-28. I have a stock bore 75 short block that I am putting new pistons, rings, ARP hardware throughout, along with a retro hydraulic roller cam with .563/.574" lift with 1.6 roller rockers. I am using Dart Pro 1 aluminum heads with 200cc runners and 64cc combustion chamber along with Comp Cams Beehive springs and hardware. I will be using an Edelbrock Air Gap manifold with a holley 750 with vac secondaries. Come on spring!!! Have fun with it..
