Default gauge questions

does anyone else have problems with their gauges??? i think the only ones i have that work are rpm and voltage lol, my speedo is crazy off 65 is goin 50 and 105 is goin 70???? im assumin rpms work, oil pressure doesnt work, temp wasnt working so i put in a lil sunpro gauge, and we all no not a single gm car has an accurate gas gauge, but anyways what could cause speedo and the oil pressure not to work is my main concern

Your speedo issue is probably because you have other than stock rear end gears. You have to take the tailshaft off the tranny and replace the speedo gears. Its a minor pain in the ****.

My oil guage has been pegged straight up since I bought the car. Ive had two different instrument clusters installed (one 85, one 125 mph model)......there is a short somewhere between my sending unit and my gauge. Went aftermarket....

Temp gauge is probably just the sending unit....but no matter how many different models I installed, it was ALWAYS 20-40 degrees off. I also installed a aftermarket.

yeah my oil pressure is always pegged, i think i saw it work for like 3 seconds one day but maybe my eyes were playing tricks. and if i have rear gears that would be flippin awesome cause i had no clue, the guy i bought the car from gave me NO info what so ever about the car. and yeah im glad i installed that aftermarket temp gauge cuz i mean you have to keep an eye on it
