Default full throttle in 4th with auto?

is there anyway i can trick the computer into allowing my car to go into 4th while full throttle? the most i could get was 135 with it nearing 5500 rpm, way too much strain at that rpm for a 20 year old engine. i know my car could do at least 145 if it was allowed to shift

I seem to recall a valve that goes in the transmission that allows this. Check out www.summitracing.com for it.

May not be exactly what your looking for but the computer does not control the trans shifting.

I thought I remember reading in a magazine about that valve and getting off the throttle and rolling on it again to make it saty in fourth. But I could be wroong because I mostly just look at the pictures anyway.
