RE: Fuel injector help!!!
I'm assuming your engine is a 3.1 v6 because you mentioned 6 injectors. It might be a good idea to geta decent repair manual for your specific vehicle. There're fairly cheap from your local auto supplier andshows lots of step by stepremoval and installationprocedures to yourrepair as well as proper names toparts.
If I remeber correctly, there are 2 or 3 bolts that hold the fuel rail down. Thats the part that is holding your injectors down to the lower intake manifold. Disconnect both pressure and return fuel lines as well as all wiring harness. Mark all your electrical connectors with tape so you don't get confused on reassembly. After you've removed the fuel rail hold down bolts, carefully pryup your injectors from the lower intake. Sometimes they are really stubborn.Your fuel rail and injectors should come out as one.The clips you refer to are at the top of the injectors... right? Use a small screwdiriver and rotate or turnthem to the opposite directionto release your injectors. After removing the fuel rail, injectors, and regulator you should be able to remove your lower intake and get to your lifters. Good luck.
