Default Fuel Injection on Carb Engine

So after two or so years of my 92 sitting in my garage with rod knock, I've finally finished school and am ready to swap out my 305 for the 350 I've always wanted. I'll probably order a built long-block. It looks like most of them come with carb-ready manifolds.

My question: on the engine side, can I just bolt my 305 TPI manifold onto the 350 block, or will I run into some problems?

I understand my ECU won't be tuned for a performance 350, but I have some experience with chip tuning and I plan on having some fun with that.

will it bolt up, yes.

will it run, kinda. There are lot of threads with the details of switching a 305 and a 350.

I've been browsing around. My conclusion so far is that the TPI runners are tuned for low end so I won't necessarily suffer in performance over a carb.

It also looks like I'll have to get larger injectors over stock.

Do I need to worry about mounting compatibility with the heads that come with the engine?

yes, you will need to order an enine for 87-up style heads, which are centerbolt. depending on how much power the engine is advertised to run at will determine what size injectors you will need. if you have any in depth questions, feel free to ask. otherwise, read over the swap in the v8 section

You may want to invest in larger runners for the TPI, if you can still find them. The stock units are good for low end torque, but restrict the top end, especially if you have an engine that is capable of making more power than stock.
