frame problem

Default frame problem

I have a 85 berlinetta that the frame broke at the steering box. can this be repaired? frame not rusted. could steering box be bad and caused this? Dan

If there is room a steel plate can be welded over the crack, has to be done carefully so as not to weaken the frame at the weld point. This is a weak point on the frame due to mounting holes and stress caused by the steering mechanism.
