i found out what those chunks are. when it was rebuilt they used this sealer that got hard like that. i was lookin at the timing chain cover and saw the exact same stuff on it. and where the oil pan mated to the block. So it was just some kinda sealer. but i will either replace that pickup or just the screen if thats possible

im gona keep bringing this thread back rather than start a new one..

what do you guys think about the energy suspension setup? im thinking about getting the full kit for all bushings and mounts on the car. i can get them cheap as well so price isnt so bad for me. but is the time putting them in worth it? im wanting a good handleing car. POSSIBLE track time ( but doubtfull, i dont know of any around here). but 99.9% road. with the ocasional fun time.. lol DEFF getting subframe connectors. maybe that roll cage ( despite all you haters.. lol). so that will help my cause a lot too.

I had the PST Graphite bushings along with KYBs' and the stock heavy Z28 springs in my 84....It handled like a nascar but with near zero deflection (also had high performance Kuhmo tires) when I hit a bump or pothole it would send me in another direction.

I got the energy suspension kit, and honestly the components that it came with were good, but it did not come with front/rear sway bar bushings, rear sway bar end links, and a few other bushings. The Prothane kit is a little more expensive, but IMHO if I bought again I would go with the Prothane.
