Well i ripped out a good chunk of my interior today. The rear carpet looks like i can make it work, but the front is pretty messed up. All in all, took about 2 hours to get it all out. A few pieces need to be replaced, ill be making a trip to the junkyard this weekend for them.

Im selling off the rear seats for now. If your interested let me know, later the fronts will also be for sale.

I also got my 10 dollar intake cleaned up and painted. ive still gotta clean the old gasket off the bottom side of it. But other than that, looks good to me.

Ill keep ya posted

You parting it out or just refreshing stuff? I got lucky, my interior was in about 85% condition when I got it. A few switches and trim pieces and I was all set.

Still doing the carb swap?

i got lucky. EVERYTHING that is supposed to be there is there. However some of it i will replace or rebuild. Just from age they wore out.

Im parting out the seats, but theverything else i am going to keep. I just want some 4th gen seats in it. I think that will look sharp. Ive seen at least one member here with them, and i like it alot, but im gona have them recovered with some kind of "custom" color scheme and maybe have the third gen camaro letters embroidered into the head rests. We will see when i get there.

The interior will be black. Im tryin to think of a way to break it up a bit though. All black wont look good. i need something else. Maybe like a charcoal or even gray carpet? Whatcha think? Any ideas on how to break it up and have it look nice? The panels will be black. But im open to suggestions for carpet. I thought about red. i think what i will do is get the panels taken care of, install them, and see what i think with the red carpet. Also the headliner will be black.

oh, and yes, im still doing the carb swap. Probably useing the Edelbrock 650 Thunder with electric choke. We have the brother to it ( the performer) and we have never had a problem with it. PLUS its very easy and quick to adjust. Also i read that the secondaries can be adjusted on the thunder. idk if i can do that on the performer or not though.

Just for conversation.....

I had mine out the other night. Buddy of mine was with me and I HAD to show off. (He drives a Suzuki Low Esteem or whatever they are...)

Dropped the hammer on a right hand turn. Car got FULL sideways till I snapped it back, then shot out to the right....went back and forth 2 more times until I got it back straight. Almost pooped my pants but scored a solid 100 on the cool-o-meter.

All I ever wanted as a teenger was a car that had more power than I could handle. A car that could shred the back tires and make piles of smoke. The kind of car that you could hammer it and fishtail around a corner.

Well, Ive got it. That worked 350 with the 3.73's gives me just enough power for me to have lots of fun and still have an occasional 'oh ****' moment that makes me slow down and behave myself.

All I need now is a late 70's Corvette with a 454..........that will get me killed.
