Default Exhaust Manifold

I own a 1992 Camaro Rs: 305 V8 Tbi. I just replaced my Oil Pan tonight, and in the process i broke the two studs off the passenger side exhaust were the Y pipe connects to the Manifold. The First one broke when i was disconnecting, and the second broke putting the exhaust togather [:@] . The question is how could i fix this problem. I'm taking the car to my dads shop tommorow and see if we can use the torch and pull them out. If we can't reach them how would i go about taking the manifold off or replacing the studs? Thanks Once Again.

i hate to say this but you would be money and time ahead to just buy a new manifold all together or invest in a set of shorty's.but this is just my personal opinion.i have had to remove and drill/extract/tap exhaust flange bolts before and they are nothin if not a large pain in the rear.

but if you do decide to do this:remove the manilfod from the vehicle and clamp it in a vice.while your at it replace that last one too or you might have to do this again later.start with a little heat and an easyout(be very carefull not to snap that easy out).if that doesn't work start with a small drill bit and drill all the way through it.progressivly getting lager till you can run a tap through it to return tothe factory size threads.when you finish i would recomend anti seizeing all bolts and nuts.

good luck

sounds to me like a good reason to put on some headers, probably cheaper than new manifolds
