exhaust manifold
so im still workin on pullin the head out of my 96 3.8 v6 and right now im at the point where i have to take the exhaust manifold off.well i was workin on the left side and i ran into a problem...the bolts are all rusted to hell and when i try to get them out they start to strip...that was just for the heat shield. would i still be able to get the exhaust manifold off if i left the heat shield on?

RE: exhaust manifold
Actually its really simple, and i am finishing up rebuilding my 96 3.8 camaro right now and have just the upper intake manifold and wires to hook back up. All u do is go get some liguid wrench and just coat every bolt and let them set for a minute or so to soak in. After that just unwind them slow so u don't risk breaking one. Good Luck!
P.S. there is also a tricky to reach bolt about center way on both manifolds, u will need to use a wratchet knuckle tool (preferably the smaller size).
