now its throwing codes 33,34, and 42. 33 and 34 are for the maf maybe being corrupt right

One common denominator with those three codes is a possible defective ECM.
Don't spose you know someone with a car like yours that you could swap with as a test?

HMMM i believe my friend has an 89 firebird 350 carb what ecms would be compatible with my own? mines a 305 tpi so im guessing atleast a tpi ecm but what years??

Best bet would be to look up the number on your ECM and find a cross reference. Some of the vendors selling the ECM on ebay give model fitment info.
Chances are good the ECM your car uses could also be used in other non Camaro cars.

If your ecm is 1227165 having a F engine code on vin this be your cross reference Vehicles That Use A 1227165 ECM

good info thanks! now ive never changed an ecm before so do you just replace it and fire it up or is there any tuning that needs too be done?

so guys i got one for you all i found a short on the maf connector i ran the code reader and it only is now throwing code 33, no 34 or 42 while inspecting the wiring i found a dark green wire that was cut off the other half was just laying there any idea what this wire could be to i checked and it did not lead to any of the sensors

try connecting it back together see what happens
