Default engine swap

i am looking into switching my 305 tbi in my 88 camaro to something with a little more hp. what would you suggest. i'd really like getting an LS1. there's a guy on ebay that has the entire LS1 motor with tranny, ecm, etc. for $2799 which is a decent price for an LS1. my question is what else would i have tobuy to make the engine function properly. (do i need

I would think the only thing you'd need is the computer gear and a new wire-harness. But I could be wrong.

Just be sure the rest of your car can handle it. ( Rearend, cooling systems, body, axles, ect.)

That's a big upgrade.

it comes with the ecm and factory wiring harness. what exactly is the computer gear? and wouldn't the factory wiring harness work in my camaro?
