engine swap from a 305 tbi to a 383 or 454 maybe!? advice please!

see I learned something. I have only read about the big blocks causing issues. what I like about the 350 option is you can run it right away, then stiffen up the body, add tranny and new rear then get the spinning assembly for the 383 last and get her done. thats my plan minus the rear as I have already put it in.

yea i would agree just throw the 454 out the window its not worth the money to redone everything under the hood and i noticed somebody was telling you to look for a ls serious motor but becareful with that i had a 88 iroc-z that i pulled a ls2 from a 05 gto and dropped in it was my daily driver but in the end, ended up spending alot more than i thought i would because the first time i drove her she started to twist the chasis and end up havin to put a cage and the ended up blowing out the rear end and had the tranny rebuilt before i dropped it in and blow out my tranny as well so still becareful with an ls if you do choice that way but i diffently agree stick with more or a mild built 350

thats only because it wasnt built properly. they BARELY were built for the 305, let alone the 350. But like i said, if you have a lot of money, thats an awesome option
