Default edelbrock victor jr. heads

i saw them today. caught my eye quiet a bit. anybody know weather or not they are junk?they claim a 12.5:1 compression with a 15 cc dome piston. looking for something more like 10 or 11. thats not my question though. what is the highest compression that could run well on 93 octane. im pretty sure, but not postive, that i have 11.1:1 compression. but im probably wrong. all i know is that my engine now runs terrible on regular. okish on midgrade ( 89 here) and fine on 93.

some of you may know, im tryin to build a new 350 for my car. lookin for about 400-450 horse before a shot of NOS. probably about a 100 to 150 shot. nothing toooo extreme, but enough to make you notice it. They claim to handle well over that out of the box.

one more quick question. say you have a 300 horse engine on 9.1:1 compression. you take that SAME 300 horse motor and bump the compression to 10.1:1 or so. how much of a HP gain is it? just another stupid question that you car gurues will know. believe you and me, ill be asking ALOT more. lol

dirty white? my only guess is that could be some kind of clear coat lifting off. have you had them painted?
