Default Stuck Edelbrock Cylinder Heads

Has anyone had any experience in removing cylinder heads from the block. I am trying to remove my set of Edelbrock heads and they are royally stuck, what suggestions do you have that could help me get them off. I don’t remember having this much trouble getting my OEM heads off, they seem stuck to the locating pins. Thanks.

Back off all head bolts, make sure the spark plugs are still in, crank engine over with starter. Heads shouldpop loose.

Good idea but no luck. The heads are still stuck even after turning the engine over. When turning the engine over, air leaked out past the head/block seating surface but head is still stuck (probably on the pins). Any other ideas?

You may have got these off already but Ive always had to pry them off. Justfind a safe spot on the head (ie where you won't gouge the mating surface) and pry on it they should pop off. Make sure all the boltsare out... I know from experience thatthe corner ones tend to hide under oil puddles!!

I've tried prying and it hasent gotten them off. I'm on to filling the cylinder with rope through the spark plug hole and turning the engine over to force the heads off.We will see if that works. If anyone has any suggestions please post. I only have a couple of days of spring break left to get this thing fixed or my car stays at home when i go back to school.

I finally got them off; I found bolts hiding underneath my exhaust headers. Live and learn I guess, there are 17 head bolts not 13. Thank you for all your help guys.
