early activation fan switch?

Default early activation fan switch?

Has anyone used the fan switch from summit thats supposed to turn on yor fans early?dose it work?My car is running too hot.The fans turn on at about 250-260 on red!! kinda nervouse i might over heat, but its my toy and work horse.the fans bring it down to 210-220.dose not always go to red.I finlly got a pic of my baby on my profile check it out .What you think?I just dont know how to put as my headliner??ohh yea i also took off my thermostat.

Put your t-stat back in. That will allow water to stay in the radiator long enough to cool. As for the switch I am not sure. Some just use the computer sensor to turn on the fan. Some have thier own switch independent of the computer. If your fan is coming on to late then maybe the temp sensor is telling the computer the wrong temp. That sensor is usualy two wires. A yellow and a black and should be on the intake. Not to be confused with the sender for the gauge on the head.

OH yeah I checked the pick of your car...Red is good!!!! Says your in Highland CA. Where is that from Sacramento?

yea i had that EXACT same problem comming home the other day, i broke my temp sending unit below the number 6 cylinder for me, but its an after market engine. If none of those other problems fix it, try that little sucker out, its what tells my fan to turn on, i hit almost 300 degrees, i know cause i have a 280 degree thermo in my car since the stock one blew up on me...

Highland is near ontario,next door to san bernardino.about 7 hrs from sacramento.thanks for the help ill put the t-stat back on right now as soon as it cools and i guess ill try that temp sending unit too.Thanks for the help guys and how can i put my car pic so that it shows along with my name?

yeah i have the same problem i heard the switch from summit does work, my friend has a stage 2 jet chip and installed it to run cooler and that it does, i wonder....
