Okay, so, I think I am gonna buy this othe Camaro, and take the engine outta mine to put in it. Being new to Camaro's I need some help here. I thought by looking it was a z28, the guy says he thought it was a berlinetta but cant remember cause he has so many.

It has ttops,and louvered hood. Is there anyway I can tell what it is? Thanks!

 

Got a VIN #? 5th digit, p=sport coupe, s=berlinetta. The louvered hood could have been replaced but that would be on the Iroc and Z28's between 85-90. What engine does it have in it? What do the bumnper covers look like? The Berlinetta wont have ground effects and it will have slots in the front cover. If it is an 89 and up then it could be an RS witch replaced the berlinetta as base coupe. In 87 the LT replaced the berlinetta but still looked the same. I am not sure about the years but the dash could look different also.

 

Its an 83, I dont have the Vin yet, it has no motor, and doesnt have g/e 's

That is the base model coupe Berlinetta with an 82-84 Z28 hood.
