my check engine light has been coming on sparadically, maybe comes on once a week.....ill be driving down the road usually after ive been driving about 5 mins or longer and itll come on but then a mintue later it cuts back off.......i changed my o2 sensor maybe a month or 2 ago so i doubt it would be faulty already...any ideas?

 

its an 85 v6 2.8 L

 

Get the car scanned & see if there are any retained codes. Or better yet, get an ODB1 scnner and plug it in and drive around till the light comes on, and then see what the computer is complaining about. Without knowing the trouble code, you can waste a lot of money and time changing out things that are perfectly OK.
