what gears to get?
Being that you have overdrive, you can probably go all the way to 4:11. The car will be a liitle buzzy on the highway, but that is the price u got to pay. Make sure you get a limited slip diff to go with the gears otherwise all the extra torque will go up in smoke.
I think it will be tough to find either one at a salvage yard. As most cars don't come with 4.11s and I really don't trust a used limited slip. U can go online to a performance parts store such as Jegs http://www.jegs.com/ or Summit http://www.summitracing.com/ They have just about all you need.
Also, setting up rear end gears is a critical process and requires specialized tools. Find a gooe rear end shop to do the work.
