hey everyone i kinda feel like a jackass asking this but i have a 87 camaro i am trying to get the tranny out of. the prob is i cant get the top two transmission bolts out.. anyhelp would be great... this is my first tranny swap so i am kinda new to this

 

have you removed the distributor and and unbolted the crossmember yet? if it is an auto you need to unbolt the torque converter from the flywheel first. then pull the distributor so the weight of the motor and tranny don't break it against the firewall. position a jack under the tail of the tranny. unbolt the crossmember from the frame then carefully let the jack down and the motor and tranny will tilt. then you will have plenty of room to stick a long extension and reach them from underneath the car. besure to reposition your jack under the pan using a board or something to keep from denting your pan. and have someone hold the tranny steady untop of the jack because done in this order the tranny will literally fall out once the bell housing bolts are removed. good luck. sick
