Default Can a non-WC T5 be rebuilt to WC spec?

I'm looking at my options for engine/tranny combo and from what i understand the World Class T5's were much stronger than non-World Class. Since I have an 84 my tranny is a non-WC. Can i get a rebuilt kit and change it to be a WC T5, or do i need to locate a later camaro and grab that tranny then swap it?

Also will a WC T5 be able to sustain 250-300 HP and 350TQ? Or should I just look at getting a G-Force or something equivalent in strenght?

the t5 transmissions that came in the camaros is not a tremec world class. its a borg-warner. and there isnt much you can do to that transmission to get it stronger. my advice, tremec tko 600 (5 speed) or the tremec t56 (6 speed). both are strong enough for the power you want and arent that expensive. just takes some work to get them in the car.

richmond gear makes a 6 speed with the same dimensions as the stock tranny. it'll use the same drive shaft and clutch and everything, just a different shifter.
