Default Brakes

My 89 camaro has front disk but rear drum brakes. Im wanting to convert to rear disk as well. I was concidering running to a local junk yard and trying to find a good set of rear brakes off a similar car. What needs to be done in order to make the change? is it a whole brake overhaul, new houseing for the rearend? or just simply a bolt in convert??? Any help is nice

i would think it would be easiest to just get a whole new rear - that way u get the rear discs that u want and you can get the rear differential ratio that you want

I would look for a whole new rear. It isn't that tough to convert it if you have the setup. Hell, we did it in less than six hours all told. If you do go this route, I would recommend getting new U-joints just to make sure, possibly new rotors and new pads as well. Let me know if you need any more help.
