Hey guys,

I have an 89 Camaro, 5.0L. The car keeps blowing the fuse that plugs into the F/P-FAN-C/H socket. I have troubleshot for weeks on this car and can not figure out why this fuse would be blowing. Has anyone else had this problem? Thanks a lot!

 

What is F/P fan C/H fuse for? What doesn't work? Maybe the fan is no good

 

We can get the fan to come on (before the fuse blows of course), so the fan motor is good. It has to be something that is on all of the time too because it is making the battery go dead. We just can't figure out what it could be...

 

Does the car run??

 

could just be the fan is old and worn and drawing too much amperage. as for the car dying, how old is the battery? before doing a parasitic draw test, have the battery tested by a parts place that offers testing.
