Blow-by an issue? (tranny as well)

??? What's connected to the valve covers? PCV valve on one and vent/breather on the other? You don't just have them open with nothing connected, do you?

no it has breather/pcv. but b4 it used to be both breathers. but it still comes out of the breathers.

look at my engine pics of the 350. look at the air filter, that was brand new. after bout 3monts driving it turned like that.

i think thats the price u pay for having a high flow open filter element. gotta change em more often. are u chewing up belts? could be coming from that. so weres the pcv at.

the pcv was on the pass. side in the pic. i took it off for the pic cuz it looks ugly. no im doing good in the belt dept.

Yeah, I think you're just seeing a normal build up of dirt accumulating on the filter element. Do you do a bit of driving in desert/dusty/dry conditions? That would contribute to the dirty filter. If blow-by was your problem, your valve cover breather would be dripping oil, and/or your PCV valve would be getting gunked up inside.

yea i live in the desert. so that might be it. no i dont have oil dripping its just smoke.
