thinking about installing a small sub and amp in the ol camaro for a little bass. Question is where did yall run your wireing throught the firewall? and wheredid ya hide the wires to get to the amp itself?

 

If my memory serves me correctly (it's been a very long time) I ran my amp power wire through a grommet in the firewall on the passenger side. I've done systems in all of my camaros and never drilled through the firewall. I don't remember the exact location but check the passenger side fire wall. As for running the wires on the inside of the car. I removed the entire passenger side interior. Door sills and rear plastic pieces and ran it under the carpet to the back hatch area. If you have the time and really want a nice install, remove the passenger seat and back seat so you have more working space and it would be easier to conceal the wires. It's not difficult just a little time consuming. I recommend using wire ties to keep it all nice and neat under the dashboard.

 

yes the passenger side is the best place to run the wires and hiding the wires is pretty simple gennerally they can be hidden under the kicker panel on the passenger side

 

my power wire is temporary, but it comes under the hood, between the door and body under the plastic trim, beside the seat, under the back seat, into the spare tire cover, then to the amp
