Default AIR leak maybe?

I put a set of headers on my car not to long ago and now i have this annoying knocking sound on the drivers side of my engine. It only happens when im giving the car gas. But if im just cruisin, its not there, at least not that i can hear. The air fitting is as tight as i can get it, and so are the flange bolts to the block. However, the flage where the y-pipe intersects to the header collector has always givin me trouble, i cant seem to tighen it evenly to save my life. Is that the problem? If so, any ideas??? maybe a gasket of some sort?

not sure about the sound your hearing but, the best way to seal headers is to soak the gaskets in water for a few minutes before you torque them down. let it set a few hours and it will be tighter then ****s hat band. like all paper products they will swell up and close most gaps that a dry gasket won't. if you use two on each side it's even better.
