Default Acceleration help needed.

Hey guys, i have a 1984 Camaro Z28. it has a 350 small block and a 4 barrel carb. When i step on it it has about a .5 to 1 sec delay before it starts to fly. Is there anyway that i can fix that to where it will just get up and go from a dead stop?

A good tune up, and a tune from someone that knows how to work with carbs will help.

It all depends what causes the hesitation. If plugs and spark timing are set properly, then the carb will have to be looked at, especially jetting and accelerator pump setting. That is, unless someone stuffed in a cam that is too big for street use.
