92 RS won't start!!
Hey there!
My 92 RS V6 won't start. People have been saying it is the fuel pump. I'm going to go to the car and try a few test. I figured I'd post what was happening and see if anyone else has had the same problem. This all happened in one day, yesterday. The tach kept jumping up but the motor didn't feel like it was reving. It would jump from say 2000 to 3000 but real quick.I was even thinking the ground was poor or something electrical like that. Now when I was at a light the engine would studder when the tach jumped. I went to another light and the car stalled, I started it and drove to my destination. Got back in the car and nothing. The car is still in the parking lot. It cranked over like gangbusters but never fired. I cranked for a good 30 seconds and nothing. No gas smell, I even tried pumping the throtle even thou I know it does nothing for a fuel injector/throtle body. Oh,it does have gas.
Anyone else experience something simular?
Thanks!

RE: 92 RS won't start!!
First off I would have someone watch your throttle bodies when you're cranking. Thats the sure fire way to know if gas is getting to the engine. If not, turn the key forward and listening VERY CAREFULLY for the fuel pump to prime. If you don't hear anything, that could be your problem. Otherwise try replacing the fuel filter. If it is neither of those things, your injectors might be bad.

Okay!! The problem was the Electronic Ignition Control Module (I think that isright), under the distributor cap. Part: $35, Installation: Free, Having my car working: Priceless!
