92 check engine light help

Default 92 check engine light help

ok so i have a 92 camaro rs with the 305 5 speed and it has a check engine light i got in not running put a coil and a distributor on it and it strated right up and i got the timeing just about right but when i start it it lopes for about 10 to 15 seconds and then the idle kicks up and it runs fine when i do the jumper trick to try to pull codes this is what i get, flash pause flash flash, flash pause flash flash, flash pause flash flash, flash flash flash pause flash flash flash pause flash flash flash and then it starts all over so any and all help would be awesome guys

flash pause flash flash = 12 which is what you normally get all the time. You want to read the flashes after 12. It should do each code 3 times. So after it does flash pause flash flash it looks like you are saying it's doing code 33 next.

Code 33 has to do with the MAF I believe and I've seen people replace the MAF relay as a try first thing since it's not too expensive. I have not done this myself this is just what I've seen others try first and many had great success in clearing that code. If you do that you may need to disconnect battery for a few minutes to clear the code out of the ECM after you replace the relay.

Code 33: MAP sensor circuit error (signal high indicating low vacuum).
