Only power the car has is to the stereo and speakers. I've tried the battery, alternator, and starter for easy fixes. I replaced the starter/ignition switch, checked the fuse box. I still can't seem to find the issue, any thoughts?

 

does 92 have vats/antitheft system

 

Resistor chip on ign key?
Security light blinking?
Does it crank?
Do headlights come on?
Give us more info - what does work

 

Yes it does. Is the security light in the dash lit?

 

If so, then easiest check is on first attempt of starting and no crank,
Pull key out and wait a min of 3 minutes.
Then attempt restart with same key.


If cranks and starts, then the tumbler, the key socket needs replacing.
This replacement part requires a visit to any GM dealer with proper registration and with owner present, purchase a new tumbler and new key is cut and given also.
Then steering wheel needs pulled and take picture of the way the harness runs about the top of steering column.
Wioer control harness must be laid back as original avoiding damage when steering wheel is turned.
Limit the pulling out length when removing Wiper handle as one can pull out the harness, then repair is needed of wiper harness.
Or take it to dealer or independent shop for replacement of tumbler.

 

When you say you checked the "fuse box" do mean it has voltage in it is like it suppose to be? If you have power in the fuse box like it should be and NOTHING but the radio is working you have something crazy going on like NO ground to the whole car. If you have no power at the fuse box there is no way to check it.
