Default 91 rs engine swap.

I have a 1991 RS 305 and am thinking about swapping for a 350. My friend has a 350 gmc 5.7 litre motor and i want to know how much power it has and torque. thanx if anyone replies.

what year is his from? typicly going from the car 305 to the truck 350 wont gain any hp, but will gain quite a bit in torque. but if you are going to swap it, you might as well throw in a cam and headers. and if its tbi, it will need the unit for a truck as well as the prom chip to run correctly, as well as a knock sensor for a 350. the tbi is not very power supportive though, if you can get away with running a carb, i would

Yes, this would be a good way to go. But throw away headers? There are after market throttle bodies, and intakes for them. You could go 4bbl, but I'd look into a better performing tbi, and replace the restrictive intake. Lots of articles out there on this.
