Is there anything I need to know about special tools or anything at all before I change the front brake pads on my 91 rs? Thanx

Make sure it's at least a 4 inch c clamp, 6 inch would be better. You know what to use it for, right? Also, make sure to break the pads in properly, if the pads don't come with instructions, 30 moderate stops from 30 mph with 30 seconds between them is the generally accepted method, and seems to be pretty effective.

Just be sure to pass it along. There'll be many more after you who need this information later on, and now that you have it, passing it along is the best way to thank us for the information we have bestowed upon you.

Does no one here ever lube the caliper bolts and the sleeves or the area where the calipers slide on the spindles???
You should have lube along with your tools

Actually, yes, I do, but it's such a habit that I don't even think about it. I've got a tube of caliper pin lube in the stuff boxes on top of my toolbox for just that reason.
