What does spelling have to do with this?

But any way. To help you out there is a lot that goes into it. You would basically need the hole drive line, computer, wiring harness, LS1 to 3rd gen engine mounts, 3rd gen cross member for the 4L60 or T56, drive shaft, headers, and probably some other good stuff i am missing. If you are doing the swap your self then expect to pay about 6K before it is all said and done. If you are paying a shop to do it then expect 12K plus. And yes you can buy a running 4th gen LS car for that price.

1) Are you an NCO?.....attention to detail man! If the kid cant even spell 'IROC', it means he has done little to NO research on his car.

2) With that being said, hes looking for a quick, cheap engine swap. Thats not gonna happen.

3) Basically, you got a kid with a car he knows nothing about, asking questions about a project thats way under budgeted and over hyped.

Its a recipe for failure all the way around. We are just trying to point the kid in the right direction. Learn your car. Understand what it requires to keep it running...then talk about upgrades...then talk about monster mods....and yeah...learn to spell it....

Follow up on above Post. Anyone who is thinking about any 350 swap better be ready to have a MIMIMUM of at least 5K availiable. If you don't have the money forget about a engine swap. Been there and done it.

an lt1 swap is signifigantly easier. i would assume all years are pretty similiar and the mounts and just about everything line up in my 92.
obviously an ls1 is a much better engine but lt1's are fine and i just picked one up for only 700.

on the other hand it sounds like you don't have much experience so i would recomend not doing it at all.
