hi guys ummm im new here im 17 and jus got a 86 z28 a couple weeks ago . it has a monster tach and fuel pressure gauge. however the speedometer and the backlighting for the cluster are not working also the power sterring needs to be hooked up. any info would help.



p.s. any one tried that post about puttin LED lights behing the dash.????

 

first check the fuses under the dash for the lighting issues. if the fuse is good then take the dash covers off for the gauges and look at the bulbs wires and circuit card behind them. being that the car is old the circuit card could need cleanin. pwer steering is fairly easy too. i recomend going to autozone or advanced auto any auto store reall and pickin up the hanes manual for your car. it isnt very detailed but its good for all the basic how toos. later.
