You do any intake for better flow you dont want it restricted with poor flowing exhaust manifolds

have you tried scoggin ****ey. sdpc2000.com is the website. the have an intake combo with vortec heads for the tpi for around 1100 and then whats left is the cam. personally im not to familiar with the tpi but i would look into a cam that makes power from around 1500 to 6000 rpm and with a 2000 stall converter that would be a sick *** combo.

Ive looked at that articles many times, and have looked for that cam but can never find it. It Also doesnt say any of the prices. I was looking for high 200's to low 300's for HP but still want the gas mileage to be decent, if possible.

Edit: I think i found the right cam

out of these heads what is best?

On second thought would the L31 vortec heads work better? The only concern I have is in the article they used a carbd engine where mine is TPI, so if i were to get the vortec heads what type of manifold would i need?

what about this intake?

well $1500 um yeah the most you could get is a head cam combo kit. now the cam and heads wont be top of the line but it will get you started. but if you dropped the whole 1500 into a set of heads they would be probably the best but wont give much without the cam behind it and or the intake for airflow. but id say the combo is the best way to go. and if there is one that does cam head and intake combo which i think there are try to scrounge up a lil extra to get it that will help you out alot but the headers will probably have to wait.
