'74 tire sizes

My 74 came with F70 14 tires from the factory. I'm restoring it to factory specs, but could I put wider tires on it without modifying the car?

Short answer; Yes.
Upgrades to a 60 series tires were common.

You could even go to 15" dia wheels, which were standard on Z28's in 1974.
