can i put a 4.77 positraction rear end in my 75 camaro? i have the original peg leg now and need a new axle for it so i figured i would just upgrade instead and have a great deal on buying this 4.77. im putting a 383 stroker in also so i need the extra power from the rear end.

I'd get a tape measure and go to checking. I had a `71 Nova I put a `69 Camaro rear end in, just took the time to double check spring perches and width and it worked ok.

4.77 gear, I've heard of a 4.56 and a 4.86, but never a 4.77. are you able to inspect the gears before you install?

Sounds way too low geared for a 383 stroker. That thing will be screaming at 55 or 60 mph! That's hard on an engine, even for an occasional driver.
