Default Turbo 350 Transmission Compatibility Question

So as I posted before, My transmission completely messed up.
I found a turbo 350 tranny with 20k miles, comes with a B&M 3000 stall torque converter and Trans-go shift kit for $250...
It was in a 70 Nova, originally in a '78 nova.
Will this fix my '74 camaro LT without any mods needed?

You already have a T350. So yep, it will be an easy out with the old and in with the new change. That's one heck of a good deal for that package. If the guy has receipts for when he got the trans done, so much the better. Hopefully he's not fibbing about the mileage, and the specs on what it has.

He replied with "Hello, I honestly couldn't tell you if it is the original miles or not. I'm sure it has been rebuilt before, but i wouldn't want to give you false info."
I'm probably just going to buy it and take my chances.
Also, I found a 80's chevy 350, seller was told it has 30k after rebuild, however hes never seen it run.. he wants 200 for it.. should I take a chance with the engine as well? not sure if its a long or short block... I've got a short block right now, how would things change if it were a long block?

This is going to be my first major project on my car.. Replacing the transmission, torque converter, and possibly the engine.

I'm not laffing..........honest!!!
Short or long block doesn't refer to the length. A long block means it's a complete engine. A short block is the engine minus heads, intake, carb, and oil pan. Neither one would include the front accessories.
Is your current engine bad? An engine that has 30k miles on the rebuild should show it. It shouldn't look like a lump of grunge, and will most likely have some tell-tale signs of RTV ooze on gasket joints.
