turbo 350 transmission help
I'm thinking about re wiring my 82 Camaro Z28 with the Turbo 350 transmission. I was wondering if my transmission needs the computer to shift right or not. If it does can I put it through each gear manually?
The Turbo 350 isn't computer controlled. The shifts are controlled by it having a vacuum modulator, where you connect the vacuum hose to manifold vacuum. And it has a kickdown cable that attaches to the carb's linkage. The cable wants to be pulled all the way out when gas pedal is to the floor.
Why isn't it plug & play? His year came with the 200C, a wimped out version of the TH350, but with a locking t.c.
The TH350 and the 200/200C are the same length, making the changeover an easy one.
Besides, he makes it sound like the TH350 is already in the car.

Look. The car has been sitting for 16+ years. Our daily drivers are dropping like flies. I need this thing running asap. I just need help from people that have done this or know something that can help me.
Do you understand that people who reply to you are not paid?
Let's back up, what is in the vehicle for a tranny right now?
Except for the all you can eat steak and lobster dinner at the annual Camaro Forums helpers appreciation dinner. lol
Right now it has a turbo 350 trans in it. All I want to know at the moment is what the kickdown cable looks like and where my vacuum lines from trans are.
