ring and pinion

im gonna ask a dumb question here guys and maby somebody can for sure set my mind at ease but will a ring and pinion gear from a 94 camaro fit a 79 camaro 10 bolt

I don't believe so. '79 is a 8.5 inch diameter ring gear and the '94 is a 7.5/7.62 inch diameter ring gear.
